I don't think many people have much respect for people who don't have cars or drive. Yes, I have a drivers license, and yes, a Honda Civic is registered to my name. But, Brad and I do not see the point in operating two cars when most of the time we only need one. Cars are expensive to own, maintain, and insure. Even fuel efficient cars like our Civic guzzle overpriced gas and pollute the environment. Why drive if you don't have to? I really wish that we lived in a city that had better public transportation.
I am also feeling that familiar aura of disrespect because I do not work full time outside of the home. I'm sick of people thinking that I have no life, plans, or responsibilities. Like, I am just sitting around twiddling my thumbs and waiting for them to pop into my existence. Grrrrah.
Okay. Done ranting. Sorry! :)
