I'm still in school!

Well, not a whole lot of new stuff from me, but I'm still in school and I'm doing quite well. My goal is to start my first semester off with a GPA greater than 3.5. This should qualify me for various scholarships and such, which will help me out greatly.

My geology class is simply amazing. I've got a genius teacher and I now fall asleep while I dream of river beds and plate tectonics.

My ecology class is pretty interesting and relates very closely to my geology class. I now have all these grandiose plans to attempt to create rudimentary simulations of various natural processes.

My programming class is going well and I'm actually learning a whole bunch of stuff. Pretty soon I should be able to program my way out of a wet paper bag.

My discrete mathematics class, (a bunch of ridiculous math stuff for computer programmers), is a bit crazy though. I'm doing OK in that class, but I'm convinced that I am constantly trading SAN (sanity) points so that I can learn things in there. The class blows my mind, and it isn't the part of my mind that will ever grow back. I plan to spend a good chunk of my spring break doing practice problems from the book, just so that I get a better hang of it.

Also, Eastern's library is pretty neat and I hear that their rec center is great too. I should start going to the rec center. I guess it even has a sauna.
