o happy days - P4/RL/Arashi

I've been MIA for a few days, so have an update!!
I've maxed out three social links! I get the feeling I'm really slow at this, but w-well. We can import these things to the replay, right? Or was it just the stats? XD;
Anyway, yeah. I'm at Naoto's dungeon now, and I've pretty much maxed out with the characters I really like - namely, Yousuke, Yukiko, Kou (and Daisuke, because the athletes are buy one get one free). Now I'm trying to max out Kanji and Rise; Kanji because I think he's the most adorable puppy ever, and Rise because. Well. I need better maps/analysis lol. (She takes too damn long to find an escape sometimes.) I do like Chie, but... I hardly use her or her arcana in battle anymore. Poor girl is at like, lvl 26, while everyone's near 50. *sheepish* Maybe next time?
And dude. DUDE. As much as P4 is like a huge, giant orgy to me and I can ship anyone with everyone, Yousuke is so, so gay with the MC. The crying? The hug? The "you're SPECIAL to me"? And the "There's still nothing here, but I have family and friends... and you"? Shouldn't I be considered under the category of "friends"? I mean, how about a line like, "friends... like you"? Not, "AND you"?
For the folks who care not for spoilers (if not you shouldn't even be reading this cut *cough*) and are interested in that dialogue bit:
Yosuke: There's still nothing here, but I have family and friends... and you. The important things are never far off... They're all around you.

Yosuke: I always wanted to be "special". I thought my life'd finally have meaning if I was "special" to someone. That's why I was really excited when I got my Persona. But I really didn't need it... It's not what you have or what you can do... Just being born, living your life... Before you know it, you're already special to someone.
MC: "You're right."
Yosuke: Yeah... Like you... You're special to me, you know?

> You can feel Yosuke's warm trust...
The brawl for his max link was really funny too. LET US BE EQUALS. RAWWRRR. And then he gives me a buddy bandage. Boys.
Also, why is there a severe lack of Kou/Daisuke, or even Kou/Daisuke/MC fics? They have a totally manly bond too, and by that, I mean they're also very shippable. Daisuke is still mothering Kou, and Kou is all STAY WITH ME GUYS, I NEED YOU. Ahaha, let's not mention MC is going to move back to the city in a few months.
But enough about relationships. Can I just say that I wish there were more Soul Drops and Snuff Souls in the game? Maybe I drain my SP too quickly, but I'm always near out of SP before the mini-boss fight and it drives me nuts, 'cause that means I'd have to leave and return on another day. (I refuse on principle to pay that fox. He's cute, but he's an extortionist.) I do buy TaP soda, but my patience is thin, and I hate having to buy one can at a time. I'm a hoarder, I hoard items - one reason why Odin Sphere gave me a migraine - and I like to buy things in bulk so I can use them at my leisure. Starting to use more items to heal lately to prevent my SP from disappearing too fast, but it's still disappearing too fast. *slaps forehead*
I've been out gallivanting with friends from the old gang for the most part. *squiggles happily* If I'm not out with them, I'm playing P4, watching Arashi shows, or trying to get those damn fingerprint sets straightened out for JET. (The FBI have rejected me twice, because my lines apparently are too fine to read. Kill, I say. KILL.)
But all in all, I am one happy clam. \o/
This bit in the Ayako episode cracks me up.
Ogu: What is this?
Ohno: This is...
Ohno: ... [peers at cue cards]
Jun: What is it?
Aiba: Hello?
Nino: Sorry, his brain is like a Windows 95.
[Old version]
Nino: It's a little slow.
Ohno: Oh, is this the part?
Nino: Yes.
Ogu: Did he just say "is this the part"!?
Ohno: This is a fondue melted down by the restaurant in a unique way, using "gimoubu". (*note: in Japanese, gimou = imitation wool)
Jun: Sorry, what does it say? [reaches for cue cards]
Ohno: What?
Jun: [takes the cards]
Jun: Guimauve. It means "marshmallow" in French.
Ogu: Oh, it's marshmallow!
Nino: As expected of the XP version, it's fast.
[As we expect from the new version]
Ohno: Hey, I'M supposed to read this. [takes cards back]
Ohno: It means "marshmallow" in French.
Nino: We heard about that already.
What is wrong with you, Ohno. *weeps* And, is it just me, or has his skin gotten much lighter from the last episode? Did the make-up artist find a foundation that works, is the lighting better? Or was this episode taken way before the previous one? |D
