still in sayulita.
bought some rum last night, a 26 of bacardi costs about 8 dollars canadian. which is both a good and a bad thing. or at least ended up badly.
they have these sweet 1L beers here that are about CAD$1.60, and they have a promotion on now where if you bring in 5 bottlecaps, you get one free, so its a heck of a deal. but the beer gets warm real quick due to the heat. it also goes flat pretty fast too. but its still good

tried surfing again, stood up a couple times, briefly. the waves suck currently, or so the surfer-folk seem to be saying. there sure are a lot of typical surfer-types here. and everyone always seems to be saying that the waves will be way better "in a few days." it reminds me of the way the morel mushroom pickers were sure the price would go up "in a few days", but i guess its always good to dream. maybe ill go surfing tomorrow

the heat is draining. and im unable to sleep past 6am any day due to the sun rising and the humidity, so come nighttime im pretty sleepy

whats the deal with mexican ketchup, or catsup as its called. its really watery and tastes a bit different. I dont think its made wiht tomato paste. Thats what I could ascertain from attempting to read spanish ingredient labels. maybe wikipedia knows what the 411 is

hey, in the lays chips here, or "sabritos" as lay´s is called here, they include 1 simpson pog in each bag, but they call them "tazos" i guess pog doesnt translate into spanish
maybe ill mail some to the north one of these days. if i figure out the mexican mail system. the kids here sure like them pogs. and marbles. this is the first time ive actually seen marbles being played by children. i thought it was a long-forgotten pasttime, like grape escape or lawn darts.

best wikipedia quote ever: "Without vigorous shaking, ketchup tends to stick to the inside of the bottle. Physicists explain this by noting that ketchup is a thixotropic power-law fluid."

never did tell me about the mexican ketchup though. im gonna go with my tomato paste theory
