Bo's ear infections....
Hubby told me not to take Bo to the doctor since he believed it was just sinuses, like I have. I kept feeling that I needed to take him, but Robert said that we couldn't afford it. ($30 co-pay)
So, when my tennant payed me rent last night, instead of Christmas shopping, I took Bo to the doctor today. Double ear infections again.
The nurse was really nice when I explained to her my financial downfall. They didn't make me pay on the past due that I owe. (stupid insurance only allows one wellness check and babies need several.. the shots weren't covered) Anyhow, the nurse loaded me down... she gave me 3 samples of formula, 3 children's advil, more congestion medicine, bananas, 6 samples of snacks, 3 samples of desitin, 2 samples of clorox and the greatest of all... samples of his prescription for his ears. She gave me 5 samples so that I didn't have to go and fill the prescription. I never knew that you could get this stuff. She told me to ALWAYS ask for samples or else they wouldn't give them to you, because they don't want to offend anyone, but that the pharmacys give them to them to hand out. Neat huh?
Jen and Brandi... don't forget to ask if you need to.
Anyhow, so we have a referral to see a specialist for his ears. He goes in Thursday at 2:30 for this. I just want him to get better.
I feel like such a piece of shit for waiting this long to take him to the doctor. He just doesn't show "normal" signs of ear infections. Next time, I will follow my gut and beg, borrow, and steal to get the money to take him.
As for my hubby.. he has a meeting with the National Guard today. They told him that he could possibly get in without his GED or HS Diploma. He has to take the ASFAB and if he scores less than 50%, he has to go to school in Arkansas. Then, from there he can enlist in the army. I don't care anymore. That's more on what he wants to do with his life, so I told him to go for it. So, he'll be finding out what and when tonight.
So, I guess I take the baby with me to band practice yet again.
