Oh you silly mage.
So... tonight I was making the trip to Light's Hope Chapel I was severely ganked by an epic mage and priest on the border between WP and EP.
The gnome was a mage, and in the chaos that's all I really saw.
So after I rez and head farther into EP, I spy a gnome mage. Whether or not it was the same one (it probably was'nt), I attacked. I unloaded everything and almost had it killed until a paladin emerged from somewhere behind me. Suddenly the gnome had full life again and I was pally-stunned and dead.
I came back and rezzed and she killed me again. She seemed to really like the 2-shot gank. Because she kept me sheeped - over and over again - until she would be able to do it. Waiting for a timer? I guess.
I rezzed again and she killed me again. Same method - the 2-shot.
This next time, I did what I did to the druid who kept attacking me while I fought mobs in Un'goro.
I ran around and around until I found her. I kept her targeted until it looked like she completely left. She was no longer within my targetable range. So I quickly created the macro /target (the mage) and spammed it while I rezzed, buffed and drank. She never seemed to come back so I figured I'd just proceed to LHC.
Suddenly as I'm horsing away I get her on my target. I turn and she's coming at me, so I dismount and unload everything I have. She starts doing the sheep thing again. Only this time, I managed to get my dots on her first. She's taking massive damage while she's waiting for her stupid timers to 2-shot me.
Suddenly the sheep breaks early, and I'm home free. I hit her with a hard mind blast and the dots finish her off before I can cast mind flay.
My work done, I continue on to LHC.
After looking up a quest, getting the flight path, and checking stuff out, the mage suddenly appears. And what's this!? She's casting something at me! She gonna try to 2-shot kill me before the guards kill her!
I cast PW: Shield on myself and hope for the best.
She's on target, and against any other idiot this may have worked, but I'm Aeyris. I melt faces, remember?
Both her 2-shots hit me hard. I'm left with 11% health. But I survived.
She however, did not.
I healed and went about my business. I went inside the chapel/inn while I guild chatted with Chunky.
Suddenly she shows up again. So I /hug her. She /winks at me. I was gonna log off, but then she decided to try it again, so I decided to wait and give her a shot.
Same game plan Aeyris, just survive the 2-shot. PW: Shield goes up and I await the onslaught.
It comes with as much effectiveness as the previous attack, I'm left with 9% health, but again... alive.
She however, was not.
