Do you miss comic writing? I miss Aadroma!
I sure do! As much as there's a part of me that loves more serious projects like portraiture, one of my childhood dreams was to draw comics for a living, and it remains even as I get older and realize how much of the standard Sunday comic fare kind of blows. Hey, you're not as discerning as a child!
And of course I miss Aadroma -- I drew him and his characters for ten years. I attempted a few things to resurrect the comic, but nothing came of it. It's hard to let someone who you wrote for, for that long, just go -- after a decade he kind of became almost a real person, and I knew the kinds of things he'd do, or say. Who knows? One of these days I might succeed in revamping him and doing something with him and his friends.
