On Toronto, Part II

So you know how many pictures I took? Zero. That's right, I bought a digital camera and succeeded in forgetting the damned thing EVERY SINGLE TIME we went out.

So you'll have to deal with text or links to people who aren't as absent-minded as myself.

Notes on the trip:
  • danthered and I managed to miss one another REPEATEDLY for an hour as we came to pick me up from the airport. I'd stand outside, and then think: maybe he came in?, and walk inside, and it was that exact moment that Dan would then drive past expecting to see me. Hilarity ensues.
  • Bacon. The boys were great enough to buy MULTIPLE packages of bacon (actual meat store bacon and not the prepackaged crap!). I was incredibly happy. Evidence was taken. :: laugh ::
  • I went to the Art Gallery of Toronto with bitterlawngnome, and it was a great time. Not only were many of the pieces on display beautiful (some great portraiture, including one of my favourite Holbein the Younger pieces of Henry VIII, thus leading to a near-apologetic explanation of how I grew up idolizing Holbein the Younger), but the security guards were works of art themselves! A handsome redhead caught Bill's eye, whereas I focused on a heftier gent with a shaved head and chest fur that was desperate to escape his collar. Oh if I had no restraint ...
  • I went to O'Grady's and the Toronto Eagle. It wasn't a bad time, and there was some nice eye candy. One gent -- he had a GORGEOUS thick beefy chest, tall, goateed -- and his even taller gruffer hubby were great to chat up, and eventually the former realized that we MET in Chicago about ten years ago. I'm surprised he even recognized me, and I sure didn't recognize him. Time's been very very VERY kind to him, to put it mildly. :: laugh ::

  • More a wee bit later... right now I'm sitting in Minneapolis, waiting and waiting and waiting for my flight to Peoria. It would have been a longer wait here had my flight from Toronto not been delayed for an hour for some reason or another -- our captain mumbled -- but at the same time I wanted to meet up with hockeyfag and the delay killed that ...
