This is "helpful" - makes me think of the Scrabble Game.geargailAugust 23 2008, 17:25:13 UTC
This is like one of those "eye opener" experiences.
Someone has to introduce how Kanji's Mechanics are used, in order to understand - much like the Latin Alphabet. ( This is how I felt... with purchasing playing cards, that were done by different styles. )
I know already, that there's a Hebrew, Russian, and a Hindi version of scrabble.
--- again, someone should of just explained that much like Egyptian Hierglyphs, you look at a card with a Kanji figure on it, and say, "Oh, that means Cliff - or Edge." and that other one means "Day, or Month." The if you place those two together - it might mean the End of the week, or the weekend... perhaps.
My guess, is that when people are taught the Latin Letters, people are used to the boundaries and limits - of what you can use them for. Kanji, is rather strange to most folks who don't realize... most of those figures are much like Egyptian Hieroglyphs.
(( It's not like - someone introduces you to Anime / Manga, that one would understand some of the things that are exposed during an episode, or in a series... until one gets a chance to know ...or understand why.))
... This is a good thing. --- at least it challenges others to think differently.
