There are a handful of people out there in the world that I ONLY got to know in text for a number of years that led to me having a jolt when I first heard their voice. It wasn't that their voice was bad in some way, it was just that my own head had constructed a voice over the years and it took an initial blending period for the actual voice to override it. In some cases it was an accent, others a pitch, etc. In the end, I can't imagine those people talking any other way now, but I sometimes feel badly when I have that initial reaction because I know some people are so very self conscious of their voices. It is hard to explain that it isn't anything bad, it is just a moment of letting the actual voice override years of imagined voice.

Sorry. Word puke. I've been thinking about voices lately.

Although there is one person that no matter how many times I've watched him talk, his voice does NOT match his body....Casey Kasem. I just can not connect those dots. I wonder if it is because I heard his voice for so long before I saw the body, as opposed to the other way around (text to voice).
