We had quite a storm today -- it caused the lights to flicker and our servers to reboot repeatedly, making our computer-based jobs pointless. We thought we heard a tornado alarm but it turns out it was just a vacuum cleaner. Yes, I wish I was kidding, but I'm not.
Then came the fun task of trying to get home. As you may remember, I don't drive so I had to get home via bus. As I left work I was pelted with rain, just apparently missing the hail. The wind did a number on my umbrella, not only snapping a number of supports, but also BENDING THE HANDLE. It now looks closer to the Armenian letter To (see character on the left) than anything else. It's now in my garbage can. I told nytemarewulf that I needed an umbrella once I got home, and he said, "Don't you HAVE one??" -_-;;;;
Completely unrelated, I've been drooling over this poster -- it looks good, even WITH the vowel points. I'd buy it if we actually had a place to put it...
