Latest developments
Okay, quick update:
Sunday, my son and ex-wife were entered into the ‘Book of the Elect’ at the cathedral; the next step will be their formal reception into the Catholic church on Easter Sunday. Because of my upcoming tour of duty (three weeks from now), I won’t be there … but I was at the cathedral, and when it was time to leave, I asked Susan, “Notice anything about the angel on that stained-glass window there?” It was the window next to where I’d been sitting, and the face of the indicated angel was that of our son when he was about thirteen. Odd, striking, and memorable.
Last night I got a call from my daughter, and we talked for quite awhile before she hung up to call her brother and mother on their phones.
Finally, today I saw a notice of a new site by mara_sho: “Daughters of Sineya”, formed to focus specifically on Slayers, rather than on ’ships or peripheral characters or non-Slayer aspects of the Buffyverse. I must have been one of the first people to see it, because I was the first to post a story on it. I have three there now, and it looks to be something that can collect some quality fic.
