Yeah I Kinda Figured...

You know there are quirky little ways people figure out/ make best guesses about things. For example how people figure out who is likely to be the next US President by the amount of masks of the candidates people buy during Halloween. Or how good or bad the economy is based on something called "the stripper index". Basically if strippers are doing well so is the economy, but if it's a Friday or Saturday night and it's been consistently not that busy, the economy is in trouble. My last example is what is known as "The Waffle House Index". The gist of this one is, Waffle House never closes (my Sister-in-law Belle can personally attest to this), come hell or high water Waffle House will be open. But if there is a closed down Waffle House after a major storm... Chances are relatively high that that closed down Waffle House either burned down, blew up, blew away, or otherwise no longer exists at that location. That is the ONLY circumstance in which a Waffles House would close.

But all of those examples are how people figure out things. With that said, I have noticed an unusual uptick in Herman Cain Awardees and Nominees over the past few days.

Oh yes, I still follow The Herman Cain Awards on Reddit. Over the past year or so it had been pretty quiet for the most part. There were very sporadic posts about new Awardees/ Nominees, but it had been mostly quite, which was good. In my eyes that meant Covid wasn't spreading as ferociously as it did the summer of 2021 or even last year when my husband gave me Covid. Fun fact, this is the year anniversary of him giving me Covid. I'll be pissed about that for the rest of my life! That and/ or it meant that sick people were getting treatment and surviving it. Never once did I think, "oh Covid isn't a thing anymore." No, I knew it was a thing still happening and I also figured it would come back with a new and more vaccine evasive variant. And yup, this is what's happening now according to someone who works in Healthcare (double trouble, they are in Virginia, but they didn't say where) and has been noticing Covid related hospitalizations and backlogs at the emergency room are starting to occur more often. They are recommending masks, social distancing, the whole works.

I'll be going back to masking up after hearing this myself. Plus it's been awhile since I got my last booster. My appointment for that is set. So hopefully I won't get Covid again.

reddit adventures, are you f-ing serious?!, come on now?!, life in the time of covid-19, really?!, scary stuff, what?!, bwuh
