I salt and pepper my mango

What small things delight you in your everyday life, practical or impractical? Odd things that others might not guess? I mean not beloved experiences which come seldom, but regularly-occurring balms to your ennui and jolts to your spirit?

Here are some of mine:

-parallel parking successfully, especially in small spaces - extra joy if some passerby operates with generosity in the social contract and decides to help by doing that "showing you the space you have left with my hands" thing
-the courtesy wave, giving or receiving - like when you're driving and someone lets you in and you wave back in thanks
-being the first to disturb the smooth surface of the just-opened peanut butter; yes my friends this feminist loves to "deflower" it
-the smell of blown-out birthday candles
-coin-operated carwashes, the more manic and foamy the better
-birds, especially crows, eating nectar out of flowering trees
-the way clay and salt water, when handled, help to heal cuts
-blasting music in the car with the windows open
-writing notes in library books (not on the pages - slipped into the pages)
-icees/slurpees - ah carbonated terrible-for-you hypercolored frozen sugar bombs
-watching parkour and kung fu movies
-hats, wearing and seeing them worn

Please dear Mr./Ms. Livejournal, do tell me some of yours
