Lily and Rufus: Remember last season when Lily willing fessed up so that she could make her daughter proud of her? Didn't it seem like she was learning how Not To Be A Total Asshole? I don't think the writers did. I have no idea wtf her motives are. Grief over her mother? IDK.
I know she's always loved money. But she's never tried to hold it over Rufus.
Where did this WHO ELSE CAN TAKE CARE OF YOU LIKE ME come from? And why would she think Rufus of all people would be swayed by money?
I'M JUST SO CONFUSED.
Serena: I really felt for her during her confrontation with her dad. Not feeling valued is a big issue for her. And her dad is shitty. I bet you Cyrus would adopt her. Get a new dad!
ALSO GIRL DID YOU NOT CHANGE THE GG PASSWORD? IF YOU DIDN'T, YOU DESERVE WHAT'S COMING. YOU ARE NOT THIS STUPID AND CARELESS. NATE ISN'T THAT STUPID AND CARELESS.
Ivy: Get a better pretend family. I know you loved Cici, but these people are not worth it. Seriously.
Chuck: This show is ten times better when he has like two minutes of screen time. But, I got to say, his whole 'who is my real daddy/mommy' crap is getting OLD and BORING. At this rate, I'd say his parents being refuges from Mars would make more sense than we have now.
Nate: Nate offering up his body for his family/friends is now a Thing. I declare it.
Dan and Blair When I'm watching Gossip Girl it's like I'm watching two different shows. What is This Ridiculousness and The Dan and Blair Show (featuring Dorota). They exist in different bubbles. IDEK.
So.
When Blair messed up Dan's big event he didn't go jerkass and yell at her or get revenge, instead he calmly points out what's really going on (Blair is insecure and doesn't know who she is anymore) and walks away. A few hours later, Blair comes to him because he's right.
And she wants to find herself again because something in her broke when Chuck sold her for a hotel and the hits just kept coming. And she's scared and lost and asks if Dan can help her find herself again.
And the whole while Dan is just looking at her in that way he looks at her and then he tells her that she's not as far away as she thinks she is and the woman he loves is independent and strong and beautiful. Everyone sees that but Blair.
And then he holds her. I'm not sure if she believes him yet but she wants to with all her heart and is leaning on him and aldkfasjdla
