Hello from Seattle!

Jul 21, 2006 21:54

Today we had a severe heat advisory. I was at the laundromat and was immediately captivated when I heard this on the news. Was it going to get into the 100's? There really is no place to swim here, so I was kinda worried. The news anchor kept talking until he finally got to the highs for the day.

It was currently 83 degrees, and they expected it to get to 90.

These Seattle people are silly.

I got a job at an Urban Outfitters. It's not open yet, so I have the advantage of starting out with every other employee, which means I should make friends fast. I also started messaging boys on myspace to see if they want to be friends with me. I know that it's not the smartest thing to do, but it's really hard to get out and meet people when your by yourself, have no money, and don't know how to get anywhere. I got invited to dinner and then to a party, so that should be fun.

I go to the Art Institute on Monday for an appointment with an admissions advisor. He's going to give me tour, and talk to me about financial aid and the program I want. It will be my first solo venture downtown. I'm going camping right after that, which I am very excited for. 5 days of sun and booze is just what I need.

I hope you all are doing well, I miss you guys!

MUAH!

p.s.-dear Dan, almost everyone here has dreadlocks. :)
