I am a devout Catholic and upon reading your article "CHRISITANS EJECTED FROM PHILLIES GAME;HOMOSEXUALS INCITE RIOT 8/10/04" I must say i am upset and shocked. and not with the police, or the phillies, or even the homosexual patrons. i am upset with you. Our Lord does not promote bigorty, and religion is a choice. There are many homosexuals who live increadibly upstanding lives, sometimes in fear of being cast out and shunned by people who share your cause. I realize that one of our obligations as followers of Christ is to attempt to save our fellow man from sin, but your methods are not only forceful but almost even propagandistic.
"the gay agenda" comes to mind. Homosexuality is not a choice, it's not a disease, it's not something they can force on somebody else. Maybe if you would actually ask them, you would find out yourselves. I am a member of my high school's Gay-Straight Allience, an orginization devoted to protecting the rights of the homosexual community. The ammount of prejudice they go through on a daily basis is bad enough, let alone you constantly telling them they will burn in hell for all eternity, which is not exactly helping your fellow man anymore... is it?
If it were a choice, you would be somewhat justifiable in your cause. BUT, since it is not, you should really let people live their own lives, and have their own obligations with God and their lives. There have been homosexuals in the past who have quote "converted" to being straight, but they are merely bisexual, and will sacrifice any homosexual urges they have since they recieve the same ammount of pleasure from both sexes. most times, they even just do it so people like your orginization will merely get off their backs and treat them like human beings.
i would appreciate a reply to my points i have made, and possibly if you could post this on your site so others can see it, i would appreciate that even more. not doing so will only validify my belief that you have no just reason to prohibit homosexuality as strongly as you do, and that you have no bearing on this argument.
