Dragosta Din Tei AKA The Numa Numa song

Jun 30, 2006 22:21

So, the Numa Numa song. I was randomly entertaining myself on this little fad from the 'net, which is oddly still circulating a bit.

Found this Google news story thing on the whole thing. Here's a friendly link: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7503690021630609112
It tells of how the Numa Numa dance that Gary Brolsma enthusiastically created, brought people together. There is also a tribute of many other people that have made their own takes on the Numa Numa dance taking up roughly the second half.

Why might I bring this up?

BECAUSE IT'S TRUE! See that Mexican guy with the spiky black hair that's the second in the tribute? See him good for that second or so? That's PAULO OSUNA, one of my close buddies from San Diego. I flipped out big time just knowing it. In the process of trying to find a full version of his take on the Numa Numa dance (to no succes) I found another big group Numa Numa dance.

The Red Vs Blue forumers all together now: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=2295261725848325762&q=Numa+numa

Why might I bring up this one? I showed a few of the gems to Tyler, but he spazed out at this one. He knows, for a fact, that two of the people in there are is friends from Tennesse. His family reccognized them too.

I've cross refrenced the one with Paulo, and Tyler is pretty damn sure that I'm right and he sees the same face in the pictures as well. Picture refrences for Paulo:

Seriously, this is fucking amazing to me. I don't care if it's childish or doesn't mean anything, it gets me excited and gleeful and really really happy. It got Tyler happy too, and he was in a pretty crappy mood.

So, a salute out to Gary Brolsma. You may have fucked over the possibilbility of being normal, but today you brought happiness into several people. *salutes*

Perfectly in the words of Tyler's sister, Erin, as she was watching the RvB one:
"Well, at least they're not all nerds." -Erin
"But that's EXACTLY what they are! They're all nerds who play Halo like crazy." -Tyler
"Yeah, it's just proof that they're just people too!" -Leigh-Ann
"No way." -Erin

On a seperate thought, I bet I could make a kick ass Numa Numa dance video with all the Game Club guys and me.

happy, numa numa, friends
