AFTER YEARS, literally, YEARS of trying to figure out WHAT song this was, I've FINALLY found it.
The 80's, to me, has always been one of the greatest eras for music. Without going into detail, let me just say, musically, it was a much happier time.
For as long as I can remember (which is, I think, last Sunday...I can't remember), I had been looking for a certain song, by a certain group, to which I only knew certain lyrics to. Always, at monthly intervals with different people whom I thought had a good grasp of 80's music, I would ask,
"Hey, do you know that song that goes... 'M-E-T-H-O-D-O-F-L-O-V-E... that's the method of (my)* love.....'"
*(I would later find out it wasn't "MY" love, but modern love...)*
After giving me a confused "Damn Alex, you're a bigger loser than I thought" look, they'd reply, "No" and I'd slump back into a state of Unanswered-Anticipation-Disappointment. Yea, UAD. It's a new condition that I just made up. Just like CRS (Can't Remember Shit), with which I am also permanently afflicted. I'd try in vain to explain to everyone that the Ticallion Stallion of Wu-Tang fame loosely based his MethodMan on this age-old classic.
But still, no one knew, they'd call me crazy, and I slowly began to believe them.
Until last nite...
After years of walking around looking for my long lost song like Al Bundy reciting "Hmmm HmmmM Heeeeemmmm" (you'd have to be a die-hard fan of Married With Children to know what I mean), I've finally found it. I've finally found my Holy Grail of 80's music.
So, in my current state of appreciative bliss (and to prove that I really ain't crazy), please partake in this phonetic goodness of glory that was The 80's.
