I've been fairly fascinated by this story lately:
Sark: Democracy, not Feudalism While feudalism seems archaic, and I've never come across a system where such a large proportion of people are responsible for running a place (52/474 inhabitants), it seems to have worked rather well on Sark for centuries.
I love the skullduggery of it all. And the term Sarkians. Intrigue and controversy. They seem so polarised and it sounds like anything can be inflammatory. I'm not sure how helpful it is to be calling people 'talibanists' though.
Also, unrelatedly, this year my car windscreen has decided to freeze on the inside. Wonderful.
