Well, it's been a busy couple of days!
February is shaping up to be busy... not lucrative yet, but busy... (hint hint universe!!!)
Got a call last night to go to a script reading where I will most likely be the Costume Designer of an independant short film - it's a volunteer position, but getting another credit under my belt is great, and it's good for contacts and karma! (Thanks to Everydayishalloween for the referral!)
Am finally getting excited about the burlesquefest... I think it'll be fun, and i'm SOOO looking forward to hanging out with Little Miss Risk and Big John Bates - and seeing them perform! ...I only wish my boy could come... but he has to be up at 6am the next day, and has missed a lot of work lately due to being sick, so I know he'll give it a pass :( ...too bad, it's rare that I perform to music he actually likes ;)
Looks like my New Years' resolution is flowering nicely too... I decided that I needed to put more energy into my friendships, and to expand my circle of friends (particularly those who skirt the line between acquaintances and friends) and have been getting lots of invitations to do things in the past couple weeks. Really happy about that :) The hard part will be keeping up the momentum once i'm back to work and fall off the planet... I'll just have to take the time to remind everyone that I still love them despite having less time to spend with them.
A fantastic photographer has asked me to model for him! His name is David Chan, and he exhibited his work (artistic nudes) at the Taboo Sex Show - I absolutely love his stuff, black and white with really high contrast use of light and dark. He's interested in shooting me and Marc as well, which i'm also really excited about, as I've wanted to get some photographic studies of the different shapes of our bodies for ages. Good timing for Marc too... 'cause now that he's back doing Framing, his pecs and arms are getting really pumped *drool* hehehe i'm a lucky girl! (I want a picture of both of our bums LOL... I think it would be cool)
