Beyond antisocial hermit

Hotels in New York tend to run on full during the week but come Thursday, Taiki has a hard time finding a place with enough of an aura buffer to keep him sane. His sleep schedule has been inconsistent enough the past two weeks but when 3.45am Friday morning rolls around and he’s still staring at the Lust Wall, the psychic decides that enough is enough.

Checkout is at 11.00am. A quick stop at a drug store and by noon he’s moved into the private office downtown - a carry-on suitcase, briefcase, blanket, and pillow. Just as cozy as home but without the murderous cat. After changing the wrap on his arm, Taiki drops onto the couch, lying back and reopening the hand-bound text on Eastern European spells, sigils, charms, and hexes.

Much better.
