quick update before i go to chem lab. the TAs are on strike. they got a mandate for it about a week ago, and last night they voted 80% in favor and officially declared themselves on strike. i keep getting announcements from the school saying things like this:
IF YOU HAVE DIFFICULTY GAINING ACCESS TO A CLASSROOM OR EXAM ROOM, PLEASE CALL 514-398-3000 FOR IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE.
which makes me rather overwhelmingly uncomfortable. also, chem lab in two hours. what the fuck is that going to be like? usually we have a TA for every 15-20 students or so. but there are like 100 of us in there. i feel like this is going to be awkward. also, where do i turn in my physics lab reports? and who grades them? ahhh. so confused. i really hope the university caves soon. running a school this big without TAs sounds like an absolute nightmare.
- Students cannot be excused from a class or exam because of a picket line outside the room. We are taking all measures needed to provide safe, secure access to all classrooms and examination rooms.
