Project Bathroom Redo - The Downstairs Bath - Final update...(Hopefully)

Jan 01, 2016 12:16

I used to spend my New Years Eve watching Musicals all night and working on a Jigsaw Puzzle.  When did it turn into New Reno's Eve!?  I bought the flooring Yesterday.  4 boxes at $20 a box.  It's pretty cool stuff and they were closing out the color at 67 cents a tile.  What a DEAL!  I was able to redo the flooring in the EntryWay - Laundry Room - Bathroom for Around $60.  I had nearly an entire box left over.  I did it all myself.  New Years Eve consisted of removing the Carpet, Cleaning up the floor, prepping the floor, bagging up the carpet then taking it to the dump and laying all the solid tiles down.  New Years Day... well that's when the fun started (not).  I did all the tile cuts and the baseboards / shoemoulding in the bathroom.  I completed the bathroom and the entryway by 9:00pm.  I took the 2nd off.  But sunday, I did most of the final trim work plus laid the laundry room tiles.  I really can't believe the difference this made to my house.  I am truly quite pleased.
Nasty Carpet in the Entry Way:  Before and After

Bathroom:

All that I have left to do is finish the shoemoulding in the Entry Way, Caulk the Fixtures and the baseboard in the Bathroom and put transition pieces in the 2 doorways.  I have to say it feels really good to get this project off the books.
