Lived in Georgia 13 years and driven by here on my way to the North Georgia mountains... And have never seen this place. I know I know you can see it from the road... but I didn't know this was the actual place. I thought it was just "Down" this road a piece. Thanks for actually bringing me here. It was certainly a neat place. When Cabbage Patch Dolls first came out, I was working retail and this was the hottest Christmas Item of the year. Heck it was the Hottest Item of the entire year! We couldn't even get them on the shelf! We would bring the boxes out to the floor on a cart and before we make it to the aisle... people had scooped them all up!
It was insane.
I didn't understand it at the time. They weren't the most attractive looking dolls. And they didn't do anything special. I guess it was the fact that they came from here... which made them special in their own right. Now ... I get it.
