So Last night I go outside to tear into the Grill side-table I was going to build from the old BBQ base I got back inthe Sanford & Sons Haul I made several months ago.
I knew it was badly rusted out, but I thought I could salvage some parts and then replace what was bad with pressure treated wood.
Well, The more I dug into it, the more I realized it was going to be futile. So I broke out the sledge hammer and tore most of it down and put in the trash can.
I can't believe it either. So I am now looking for a new old grill base. May hit some garage sales this weekend.
I realize more than ever that I should have just followed my gut instincts and got the Grill I saw in may that looked like Mine.I would have really looked cool and MATCHED!
Gut Instincts all the way. I know I see things differently than others. And most people don't get why I do some of the things I do. So I shouldn't shy away from following my gut just because my friends/family may think it's dumb.
So I am on the hunt again for an old BBQ that I can make this grill side / prep table out of. Not only will it be a cool addition to the deck and make things a little easier for me to cook out there... it will be where I store the extra LP tank and other assorted BBQ paraphernalia stacked up in the garage.
Remember - A place for everything.
