From the Salvation Army! They are going to pick up the sofa today! I pushed that behemoth out to the driveway this morning before I left. That mutha has got to weigh 400 pounds if it weighs and ounce. Phhhhewwwwww! I just hope they get to it before it starts to rain. Cause that will not make it any lighter.
that will be a really nice chunk of space regained in my garage. I am hoping to start work on the downstairs room as soon as the sofa is gone. Because then I will have some space to work in the garage to take down the total gym...
Clean it (get the spiders off) and then take it inside to the old Media room. Once that is moved, I can actually clean out my garage. Here is the plan for garage clean up:
- Move total gym inside
- Take Goodwill pile to Goodwill (yes I know I could have had Salvation Army pick it up for me, but I need a separate receipt)
- Make cool wall treatment thingee for the office... (I need space in the garage to construct this) - it will get rid of a really big piece of drywall.
- Hang up the cabinet left over from the Kitchen Microwave Project of last May
- Hang up the other shelf thing I made for the garage out shelves I removed from the Master Bathroom
- Organize my tools in the tool chest
- Take all the garden stuff to the shed
- Put in a new countertop for my work bench - about 3 feet longer than the one I have now
- Go through all the left over paint and get rid of what I don't or can't use... Yes I know how to do that properly.
- Move all the sporting equiptment inside to the Gym. No that doesn't include geocaching stuff... it is a game not a sport
- clean up all the hangable stuff and rehang in a more organized manner (yes I will repair the walls)
- Try to get everything off the floor to make it easier to keep swept out
- Go through all the scraps of wood and cut down for fire pit wood
- Move all the dog leash / supply stuff to the pantry closet just inside the door

What I would love to do but I don't see myself doing it just yet is to do the acrylic treatment on the floor and make it pretty. But that is a 2 to 3 day project and I think I will do it eventually just not during this clean-out time.
Once the garage is spic and span... I will park Otie in the far garage (it's a deeper stall and it will be out of the way). then I will give Neo a new parking space. I will now get to use this side of the garage as it should be. I think I wore out the other garage door opener. I have to say, I'm pretty excited about the whole thing. Yes there will be pictures... I'm sure it will be something I will start on right away when I get home tonite. The picture taking that is. I know this will take a couple of weekends to complete. But that's ok... I need to spend a little time at home and get some stuff done.
