Slayerette found
Adam's Cache (Traditional Cache) Sooo, I pull up to the parking area and I see this strange looking guy, looking at his hand and pacing back and forth in the woods. Well, I'm no dummy. I know a geocacher when I see one. We all look alike... (except for the obvious gender differences). I get out of my car, go to the back and grab a few trinkets for the cache. Then I holler to the obvious geocacher...
"Hey are you Geocaching?" See how discreet I am.
"Yeah."
"Who Are you?"
"LumberJacks. and You are?"
"Queen of all Geocachers and you must kneel before me!" No I didn't say that, I just wanted to see if you were still paying attention. I answered "Slayerette". I always feel stupid saying that, but hey that's just geo-nick choice remorse.
We then team up to knock this mother out. First we went one way and then we went the other. Boy the gps is wonky in this area. When things finally settled down, LumberJacks saw it. We logged, traded, discovered and then rehid. I dropped off the kiss me I'm Irish event traveling coin and a red jeep travel bug. I also left cards and a patch and something else I can't remember.
Afterwards we enjoyed a very informational conversation in the parking lot. pleasure to meet you LumberJacks. Don't do too much caching without your boys!
Second Cache...
Slayerette found
Walk in the Park (Traditional Cache) So I had just left Adam's Cache and decided I had a little more time left on my lunch hour, so on my way back to work I stopped by to give this one a go.
I pulled up and there was not another soul in sight. this place was deserted! Could it be that the below 40 degree weather was keeping the hard-core jungle gymers home? I think so.
I walked all the way out to the cache area and ealized I had to pee. I also realized that small window of extra lunch time was closing. I found the cache and went to grab my pen to sign... and I couldn't find it. I know I put one in there yesterd... CRAP it's in my other coat! So for sake of time I signed the log with a pine branch and some clay. - I signed it SLAY. No date Just SLAY... In clay... On a really cold day...I wish it were May...
Sorry. I couldn't help it. It wouldn't have been a big deal to go back to the car and get a pen, but because of the lack of time and having to pee, I just did what I could and made due with what I could find.
I headed back to the care with a much more hastened step and focus. Know what I mean?
Thanks for the cache Girls.
