Back to Work Tomorrow...

Jan 01, 2008 21:50

I didn't get done nearly as much as I wanted.  But I get done enough.

I worked on the office today.
  • cleaned out the inside of the computer
  • Got the new printer up and working
  • built out the desk extension
  • repaired and painted the walls where the little shelf/desk used to be - a lot of damage happens when you take the supports off the wall
  • set up the new shredder and a new junk mail bin
  • painted the new lamp harp so it matches the lamp
  • watched the michigan vs florida game.  I graduated from USF but Krazy Kay is from Michigan so in order to keep the peace....Lucy and I rooted for Michigan...GO BLUE GO!!! - Great game by the way.
  • cleaned up my receipts and packaged them up
  • returned a shelf bracket to home depot... Hey it's $3.00 that was laying around in the garage
  • Loaded up the garage with card board boxes and potential garage sale stuff.
  • moved the teak chair from upstairs to the office
  • finished the pantry
  • made a shelved cabinet for the garage (for when I clean it up)
  • cleaned up the work bench

I still need to clean the desk with some 409, it's pretty dirty and dusty.  I also would like to rerun the cords to clean that mess up a little more.  Anything to minimize the cordage.  I did get rid of 3 power coords and 2 ethernet coords.  I replaced them with 1 power cord.  That's it.

Anybody need a Photosmart Printer 7700 series with ink? - $50  It works great I have all the papers and software.

Here is an update of the list I made before vacation.
  1. Clean downstairs Bathroom and Laundry room. - It gets so linty and dusty.  I would just like to freshen it up.
  2. Complete the Pantry Build - I am taking a downstairs dump closet and turning it into a Pantry  OK I'll take pictures
  3. Thank you notes - After the Christmas to make sure everyone knows how grateful I am.
  4. Garage clean up - My goal here has always been to get as much off the floor as possible so I could just sweep it out every once in awhile and spray for bugs without getting it all over my stuff.  A have a few things to do to get it there and a couple purchases... and the garage itself is actually very clean compared to a lot of my neighbors.  But it could use some organizing.
  5. REDO THE OFFICE... - The pictures have been posted.  I still need to draw up a game plan, but it totally needs a makeover.
  6. Back Yard clean up - I bought starter fluid for the mower so the whole thing shouldn't take too long.  But it is screaming out for some maintenance.  The mowers (both) wouldn't start up and needed some tinkering so they were at my little mower man till Saturday(29th).
  7. Geocache Maintenance - emordinlap  fix this one so it's up and running.
  8. finish the Mountain stash project
  9. Hair and Nails Done (gotta have a girlie day)
  10. fix the back motion lite for the ninety hundredth time.
  11. Stock up freezer with Beef Beef And a little more Beef  - ran out of extra cash
  12. Bank - Deposits
  13. Stores - for returns I already have one - It's the Socket wrench I bought myself and my parents got me one too.
  14. Possibly work on the GeoDatabase... Joe asked for some numbers and I told him I might have them after the first of the year.
  15. Put christmas Away
  16. go through Christmas again to clear it some more out.
  17. Go shopping the 26th to stock up on paper, bows and cards
  18. Replace the shower sprayer in my bathroom with one that is more efficient (it's on the workbench)

I spent an enormous amount of time at the vet this vacation and about $600 between the 3 of them.  Dog fight wounds, prescriptions, x-rays, bloodwork and more prescriptions.  Yesterday I was lucky I got Dolly in when I did, she had a 104.3 temp when she's supposed to be around 99 - 100.  But that was $220 to find out that they have no idea what's wrong with her.  She is doing much better, she is eating and keeping it down and she made it all the way through the night last night without throwing up.  When I wasn't at the vet I was home vacuuming...  You would thing those dogs would be bald by now.

I got to do some geocaching.  6 over in acworth on the 28th.  Not a whole bunch, but a start.  I had a blast, first having lunch with my parents then visiting with Johnnie and Lois and then caching with Johnnie.  It was worth the 2 hour ride home.  I only used one and a half tanks of gas this whole 2 weeks and I still have half a tank left.  I got to go junking with Kay on Sunday.  I found $100 worth of good junk.  A sushi set($7), a nightstand($25), a teak side table($53), a brushed nickel lamp($13),  and a pyrex dish($25) .  I am looking forward to using the sushi set, since I am learning how to make sushi on saturday.

Hey it's 10:30pm and 5:00am comes pretty early.  Good night and Happy New Year!!!
