The Weekend's activities...
I rebuilt the gate in the back of the yard and I mowed the yard. It doesn't sound like much, but my body says it was. I was going to trim the crape myrtles - cut off the lower branches that are in the way and are zapping the nutrients from the rest of the tree. Buuuut.... I couldn't. The trees are covered in white flies. YUK! So I decided to spray them with insecticide before I even start messing with them. I ended up doing that twice. Once in the morning and once again in the afternoon.
I did get to go to the Stuff their faces in North Georgia. A nice little drive up to Ellijay for Pizza and commaraderie. I enjoyed that time out from home maintenance and yard work.
Dollie got a bath on Sunday. she wasn't happy about it. but I was.
Lucy watched and I think I actually heard her Snicker.
Of course there was the Lawn mowing. I did actually go airborne on the snapper...Again. Did a little damage to the mower which I will have to fix. OK OK I keep doing that. but hey the pedals are backwards compared to the car and I get mixed up. I may have to go back to a push mower if I'm not careful
I took apart the nastiness that was at the base of my mailbox. I pulled out the wood timbers and all the weeds that had taken over. I flattened out the dirt and probably tuesday I will stop and pick up 6 pieces of sod to cover the hole up. I think that will be easier to take care of.
I didn't drink much water and I am paying for it now. I have a splitting headache.
The babies are worn out.
I'm worn out.
Alot of physical labor.
It felt great.
