I was tooooooo tired. Johnnie and I headed up to the mountains and did some stash hidin' and findin'. I almost didn't go because I am having some severe (and I'm not exaggarating) pain in my right lower leg. Yes I'm going to the doctor soon. But I decided even with this, I wouldn't miss this opportunity to not work on the house.
As you can see my leg is swollen and very briared up. My other leg was just as briared and my arms were too but not this extent. I loved it. I did feel bad for Dollie. She just is not used to this stuff, though she's learning. She doesn't have the trail sense of which trail to stay on that Lucy does, . But she is much more cautious and aware of her surroundings. She doesn't just jump over a log, she looks over the top checks it out then slowly hops on top and then over. And she is constantly listening and smelling. If she comes to attention, there is something there or coming. She takes the lead and marches on. Dollie seems to look at this as if it were a job and finds her great joy in doing a job right. Lucy finds joy in the outdoors and just being out there. It's almost as if she's hiking with a song in her head as she bounces down the trail. What I'm saying is I am not comparing the two, because you can't, they are too different. And that difference is what I love about them. Well, and the fact that they both are so lovable.
I had a phenominal day with Johnnie. We did so much.
Hid a stash that was on his goal list.
Found a Cache that was on my Goal list.
Had a picnic after we hid the cache
Climbed to the top of a mountain
Saw lots of wildlife : 2 turtles, a Deer, a wild turkey, chipmunks, no ticks
Met some people from home town of Kansas City
Found 3 caches
Got to go 4 wheeling and dirtied up Otie a bunch
Spent time with a great Friend
plotted and schemed
Laughed pretty much all day
Spent some quality time with Dollie and gave her an opportunity to get some trail time
Just a great in general. I wished I didn't have the physical ailments that I do, but we muddled through and had a great time to boot.
Thanks Johnnie.
