Woke up about 11:45 last night for some reason so went to the back door and listened to the neighborhood greet the new year. Lots of fireworks both official and bootleg. For Katie - I'm not going anywhere! So damn much stuff in this house after 22 years that the thought of trying to pack up and move brings on shudders. Given the situation at work I guess I should be counting myself lucky to have had yesterday off - the entire weekend was an impossibility. The only reason I got yesterday was that it is our crews regular scheduled day off - holiday or not. So, how do you spend a rare holiday or other day off? Finally more or less caught up on rest - slept almost 11 hours last night and might just start feeling human again. Wish I could say the same for Katie - got home this afternoon from electrolysis to find her steadily getting sick with some bug or another.
