The past few days have wound down a lot. I'm sick, although i'm not sure whether it's the heat, a tapeworm, or this splinter that got stuck in my finger in Shanghai that i never managed to extract (can splinters travel up veins and eventually reach your heart or lungs? O_o). Eric and i also share this magical property where when we get a mosquito bite, a few days later, two/three/four more sprout up right next to it like a mushroom colony. But whatever whatever, WE'RE TROOPERS AND WILL SURVIVE THIS CATASTROPHE~~~

Highlights from the past few days:

-realizing that the reason there are no hot Asian boys in the US is because they're all in Asia. And mon dieu, they are numerous

-loudly singing "Bad Romance" in the car. Godga's following is strong here, and both my uncle and this boy Eric and i apparently befriended the last time we were in China both had it on their phones. The boy is 15 and 6'0", omfg. A girl i met while in Shanghai told me that China is no longer short - so now i have no excuse. Anyway, everyone in the car sang and it was deafening and adorable.

-being told that my skin problems are hormonal. TYSM, MYSTICAL HERBAL MEDICINE SHAMAN. IT'S A GOOD THING I WAS REFERRED TO U

-this restaurant that i went to today. I DIDN'T BRING MY CAMERA BECAUSE I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD NEED IT, IDK WHY I MAKE DECISIONS LIKE THIS SOMETIMES. It was a huge buffet of yum - there was turtle, sushi, a chocolate fountain, escargot, various gelatin desserts, possibly dragonfruit-flavored ice cream (along with mango and coconut), raw oysters, etc. I had enormous chunks of caviar - two kinds, one was red and the other was yellow - that were still attached to the fish. They were the size of both my thumbs stacked on top of each other. My uncle also bought us (him, my grandma, and me) some kind of fish fin soup - i've only had shark fin before and the fin was a lot less puny than the fin i had today, which was as thick as a noodle (a thin noodle, though). The soup tasted like a mixture of chicken and egg yolk, and there was rice and a little bokchoi (WHICH IS REALLY SPELLED BAI CAI OKAY FU ALTERNATIVE DIALECTS) in it. OH AND THERE WAS ALSO CHICKEN SOUP IN LITTLE CLAY POTS, AND IT KEPT THE SOUP REALLY HOT AND IT WAS DELICH. Finally, when we left the restaurant, there was a little vase filled with marshmallows (with orange filling) skewered on sticks, three per stick, for us to munch on upon our exit. Next to the marshmallow vase was a vase filled with the same idea, except with tiny cookies instead of marshmallows. ALL IN ALL, A SATISFACTORY MEAL

-peach-flavored soda

-peach-flavored everything. Mind you, this is white peach, not stupid yellow peach. BITCHES DON'T KNOW

-I FOUND THE POPSICLE OF MY DREAMS. AND LITERALLY MY DREAMS, BECAUSE THE LAST TIME I HAD IT WAS WHEN I VISITED CHINA LIKE FIVE YEARS AGO, AND EVER SINCE THEN I'VE BEEN LONGING TO EAT IT AGAIN. It's lime-flavored, and is partially made of gelatin so it FLOPS AROUND WHEN YOU EAT IT. IT'S REFERRED TO AS "THE TONGUE POPSICLE". And of course there are other frozen delights, but i took pictures of those so i won't go into them now.

-this Japanese movie i watched with Chinese subtitles (holy shit it is a big deal for me okay). It's called something like "My Robot Girlfriend"? IT'S REALLY CUTE. I also watched "Artificial Intelligence" ("A.I."???), but couldn't hear most of it so i'll have to watch it again. >:/

Yayyyyyyyyyy
