I closed the motel door with a smile on my face. Just standing there for a second before actually walking away from it. I had a feeling he'd be sleeping for awhile and I'd see him in the morning when he was over to ... make breakfast. For me and Dawn. Weird, but I guess that's just how it is now. Hopefully Willow would be gone or something, so she ( Read more... )

"We can take a look and see what they have. If there are a lot of empty places it might actually be pretty cheap." And no Dawn giving me good advice. Buy her flowers. I don't even know what kind of flowers. I love roses myself, but not everyone does. Oh, I need to find a place that will have some sort of garden. I can try to get some roses again, just like I had a the...Hyperion...Courty ( ... )

I parked the van and then got out, walking around it and staring up at the buildings. Some of them looked promising indeed. Some of them had large windows, which is perfect when one doesn't want any vampires around unexpected. Before I could open the door for her, Buffy got out of the car as well, squinting a bit at the sun.

Did she get enough sleep? If that had been me, I'd say a hang over. But she's not me and it shocks me to realize that I've not really drunk since... Since I ran into Buffy. Go figure that. That's actually more then a little surreal. And I may sometimes still have the urge for a drink or two. But I've not given in to it, and it's getting easier.

I walked over at Buffy and nodded when she asked if I wanted to look inside. Without thinking about it, I grasped her hand and stared toward one of the nearest buildings which was for rent. "I like this, it has a lot of windows so there will be enough light." And a lot less depressing as well. "Shall we go look there?"

I glanced around the upstairs place with wide eyes. It was big and roomy. And if I used some of those section walls, I could easily make a bedroom and living room. There should be a shower and a toilet up here already, considering that this had been a workplace. They usually had these facilities available for their employers ( ... )

Him and his garden. He was hellbent on that also, I could tell cause he kept on bringing it up. I smiled slightly and looked around again as he was telling me that this could be his place and he may not need to look further. It looked fine to me, it wasn't that far from me, not like it would matter anyway.

"I like it and we ... well, you could fix it up nice. I can't wait to see what you do with it," I said and smiled up at him, standing on the tips of my toes to give him a kiss before pulling away.

"If you need help, I'm sure we could help you set up too. Xander likes to build things. Big things. Maybe you and him could actually bond over that or something," I said, trying to be suggestive. Yeah, so Xander was being all with the smart ass now, but pretty soon, he's going to be glad that Wes is here so he's not surrounded by a bunch of girls all the time.

Well, to be honest? I can't wait to see what I'll do with it as well. It's not as though I actually know a whole lot about decorating. I certainly hope Buffy or *someone* can help me out there. I don't wish to scare off my potential clients now do I? I don't care much about upstairs, as long as the agency looks fine ( ... )

Nodding at her, I gave her a small smile. I probably would end up calling Xander for help. Or talk to him if I walked into him, which was bound to happen. If she thought it was a good idea then I was going to give it a try. At least I can say I've tried it. If I'm going to make an effort, that's a whole different story ( ... )

The woman on the other end of the line was talking rather fast. Especially when she mentioned the price. I had to ask her to repeat it several times after which I stared at the phone for a while. That couldn't be, I thought, as I glanced around the place. Not with this space and the way it looked. Sure it needed some re-organizing, but as a whole it looked good ( ... )
