Ordinarily, when the meal tray comes, Simon pays attention to it for a while, picking things up, putting them down, stirring the mashed potatoes and eating tasting the crusts off the bread and a little bit of anything that resembles meat. Not today. Today, he took his pills quietly, but never touched the tray. Not even the milkshake. Maybe he's just too busy reading.
