Under the radar
John Constantine was listed among the escapees from Arkham Asylum several months ago. It wasn't so much a decision to escape as a door opened for him and a mad clown it was better to join than to defy. The pull of synchronicity said to go, so he went. The real question was what to do 'after'. Hiding wasn't hard. He certainly wasn't the biggest problem to leave the asylum that day and was easily forgotten. A man suspected of a handful of ritual killings is as bland as porridge in Gotham.
Though he's still not a well man, to say the least, John has had a bit more of the old confidence, of late. He's spent his time in seedy underground poker games and has taken quite a haul the past few nights.
So tonight starts in a nice dark pub where a man can soak every cell of his body in gin in peace before risking his life stealing the 'hard earned' money of Gotham's gangster elite.
