Totally Future-minded

Nov 02, 2008 22:23

Despite there being two months still left to achieve my resolutions for 2008, I cannot help but want to plan 2009. So refreshing, you know?

As soon as I finish this event management diploma, I'm going to clean out the garage. And put all the junk I don't want anymore to go in there, attach prices to them and sell the lot. Then I will set up my laptop to play rad music while I have an afternoon summer party with mates and people who want my junk. Garage sale party will be rad. Or a Wii party! The gamers can play while raiding my old wardrobe. Even better!

So JE blog is looking better now, but I'm still a lame blogger. Need to stop talking about myself so much and more about (other) interesting things. Anyway, I don't believe that I will actually register Jensen Events as a business name afterall, rather choose something a bit more creative. Once I finalise the niche I'm targeting something a little more descriptive would be more suitable than a surname. Perhaps also I will vlog instead of blogging, as it's a bit more creative and can portray happenings at events much accurately than words. YouTube account coming soon!

In another career-advancing move, I'm attending Edgeware's Upload Young Entrepreneurs' Program. Can't wait! Such awesomeness will be priceless and I am just at a stage in my life where I could use a little push forward as for how I can better my future.

Social Media Club Brisbane and BTUB meets have proved to be fantastic uses of my time also. Haven't had this much fun in ages, honestly. I think the highlight was walking across Toowong to St Lucia barefoot at 7:00am on a Saturday morning dressed in black pants, checked vest, white collared shirt and a top hat while cyclists and runners whiz past me over the hills. It was Halloween the previous night, okay? Well, I still looked damn classy whatever the occasion. Might play dress-ups more often while I'm young.

And next year I hope to dye my hair blue again. It was just too good to leave this year and I only went back to a natural shade after I figured I wasn't going to have a lot of time during the end of this diploma.

Ah, and I have NicoleJensen.com and NicoleJensen.net registered now, with kudos going out to Greg for the assistance.

Hope my dear readers are well. What are your plans for the future? Does thinking of the future help you get through the present?

friends, 2009, event management, good times, career stuff, business, study, internet
