This is my summer subway reading that I bought yesterday!! "Norwegian Wood" and "The Great Gatsby" are re-reads. The rest I haven't read before, but have heard good things about. I had read a little bit of "Remains of the Day," because I'm a huge Ishiguro fan, but I never got around to finishing it I don't think. I've heard that the end of Room is basically going to make me shit bricks, so I'm eager to start that one, too. And, my old roommate SWEARS by the Time Traveler's Wife and she's been trying to get me to read it for almost four years, so I picked that one up, too. I had an old gift card from almost five years ago that my brother gave me for Christmas, and I put it to good use!
I haven't had time to read like I used to, but now that I have a 20 minute ride to work, and another 20 minutes back, I may as well get my readin' on!
So! Now would be a good time for you to unleash your reading recs. I must mention that sci-fi and fantasy are really hard for me to get into. It doesn't mean I won't, but I might be a little hesitant. I could give a flip about male or female point of view. Just give me some compelling character development. I'll do YA, but no vampires, please.
Orrrr you can tell me about what you're reading right now! That is good, too.
