The second ending bothered me a little bit. Poor Will- he goes off for 10 years, only has one day off every ten years to spend time with his love and have mad, passionate sex, only to come home and find "Oh, hey, there's this kid!" His kid, that he now has 24 hours to get to know before leaving again. He also needs to spend the time with his wife, getting out ten years worth of sexual frustration (though this does leave it open for any Bootstrap Bill/Will Turner slashers)

OhmyGod what IS it with incest pairings? >_< We hates them, precious (unless they're obvious canon. Justin/Iris from Carnivale for the win).

I liked that resolution for being as bittersweet as it was. Go Disney for....... not being Disney?

I have to agree about Jack and Jones fighting on the yard. That was ridiculous, and totally Disney. Jones I could sort of understand, because he's all not-human-tentacle-y thing but not Jack. Even his being able to land on the yard and hold the chest was unlikely. It was wet, the ship was practically sideways and moving quickly, there was wind, etc. Not gonna happen.

I loved Will's tea scene. That was perfect.

And yes, indeed, that was his sword he died on. Tragic. But it was a lovely sword, at least. :D I liked when the British officer caught it and stopped fighting to admire it only to be stabbed. "Ooooh pretty, UGH--"

And I think Sparrow's father was Captain Teague? Not Teach? Although Blackbeard's flag was raised during the Hoist the Colours scene, which I loved and kept turning to the people with me to tell them whose flag was whose.

Anyway, this post just made me squee so I thought I'd add my two cents.

Well, the Wiki page on Blackbeard says Sparrow's dad was named Teague specifically as a nod to Teach/Blackbeard. Of course, Wiki is always dubious, but I choose to believe this because I think it's awesome.

Even his being able to land on the yard and hold the chest was unlikely. It was wet, the ship was practically sideways and moving quickly, there was wind, etc. Not gonna happen.

...Yeah. C'mon, Disney. We can accept all the supernatural stuff because we're expecting it to be there. But, basic physics! :P

And yay for two cents! I'm glad people are still squeeful about the movie ^____^

Well . . . it does explain why it sounds so similar, and why he looks like Blackbeard. I just kinda figured they were different but that'd be nifty if the Wiki thing is true. I've always like Blackbeard, despite being a . . . murderous, villainous pirate.

Also, I will be squeeful about this movie until I own a copy in my hands and can watch it whenever, wherever I want. I've already seen it 4 times, and I'll probably go again because my dad has only seen it once and he's dying to go again. (We saw the first Pirates movie in theatres 13 times. In our defense, go inside our house and every painting on the wall is of a tall ship, and when I was little, I was always a pirate for Halloween, and we always visited the tall ships when we went to the coast for any reason. My brother made his living for many years sailing on tall ships. And just in general my family has been waiting many, many years for a decent pirate movie to come out -- when it did, we went a little crazy XD)

*sigh* I think I'm the last of the unseers. Hopefully this will be rectified soon.

Great. Now I'm gonna have to go see the movie again because the two people I was with were all like "Gotta PEEEEE" as soon as the credits hit the screen. =( Didn't see the other ending... G'dammit.
