It's Been Awhile
I’m sitting here in Starbucks drinking one expensive yummy tasting coffee. I came here for the internet connection (my internet connection can get ‘moody’) and the coffee of course. I hate to admit it but Starbucks makes on kick ass coffee. First of all you must understand where I’m coming from. I drink copious amounts of instant (I know, it’s terrible) all week. But when one is desperate….one will drink what will get them through the day. I get up at 6:20 AM people!!!! It’s gross, I know and I can’t seem to get used to it. I cry every time I have to get out of bed (well no not really but for dramatic effect ;) I often wonder who in the world is responsible making this a time to start work everyday!? Obviously someone that has kids >:(
Anyways, life in Chile…that’s really what I should be posting…not whining about stuff. Well, things are good. I need to get out more and I believe once winter is over I will start gracing people with my presence. I just got to get over my nervous factor.
I’m usually always cold as my Apt. doesn’t have central heating. I’ve only been sick once this winter (and as I write this I’m sure viruses are ready to strike at will for my stupidness of making such a bold statement). I’ve borrowed a Spanish grammar book from the institute I work for to speed up my process. I.must.perfect.my.spanish.
Spanish is a very interesting language. Well first of all it’s actually called Castallano. OH~Check out some of the vocabulary I’ve learnt!!!
For example,
Mataperro ~ translation: bumper of a car. The EXACT translation….. KILLS DOGS!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Parachoque ~ translation: hood of a car. The EXACT translation……FOR CRASHING!!!
Note: spelling maybe incorrect as I’m still learning. My reading has gotten better as this is a phonetic language.
Well that’s all for now. I have a birthday party to go to tonight (I have way too many cousins…).
