I finally got to the season finale of Grey's. Yay, me!! Of course, now, I only have 5 episodes of Gossip Girl in reserve to fill my television needs, so I am going to have to start paying attention to some of the other channels on my TV and find some of those summer shows that EW was talking about. Let's get to it.
I actually don't know that I have that much to say. I liked it, I did, but there weren't a lot of moments that hit me with much oomph. I do think that that Jurnee Smollett girl will pretty soon be able to say that she has guest-starred on every show on TV because she just keeps turning up. The best moment for me was when Miranda gave Izzie the keys to the clinic. I do like Bailey. She is really great. And some of the working mom sites I have seen have been really pleased that the show has been presenting her working mom issues in a pretty good way. I agree. And I actually did not hate Izzie this episode. Huh. I felt bad for Alex, too. Maybe he needs to start seeing Mere's therapist.
Mere's epiphany was good; I was cringing with her coming home and seeing blood in the kitchen after yet another suicide attempt in her house, though. Ouch. But getting back with Derek didn't really bug me -- I think they wrote it pretty well. The whole George and Lexie thing I didn't care about, and boy in cement was, whatever. (Although, I do want to know how we knew he wasn't peeing his pants inside that cement block and emptying the bladder that was going to explode.) I did like Sloane though -- the expression on his face in the beginning with Callie and his continued efforts to "grow" were entertaining. As for Callie and Hahn, I'm not sure how I feel. I was pleased that Christina seemed to be getting back into the groove surgically, as well as taking the Chief's criticism of Hahn to heart for herself.
All in all, it was good. And apparently a chance for ABC to hawk shows for the fall. Huh.
Now, flist -- I apologize in advance, but I am going to be venting in another flocked posting in a few minutes, so excuse my spam. Thank you.
