Re-entering my regular life...

Tomorrow is my first day back at work since having Jillian.  I am only going to be working Tuesdays and Thursdays in April (essentially), so I am easing back into it, but the logistics of figuring it all out have been a bit daunting:  trying to wake up earlier so I won't be shocked by leaving the house at 7; figuring out how many bottles Jillian ( Read more... )

HI!!!! *waves frantically*
Trying to get back into the LJ swing of things. :)

Good luck tomorrow (or is that today now?)! I hope it all goes smoothly and the exhaustion is completely overwhelming.

RE: Barney/Doogie. I don't watch the show enough but I love that little nod to the viewers. Stuff like that totally wins me over every time. :)

Ummm... what? I think your exhaustion might be pretty overwhelming there, but no need to wish it on the rest of us! But I will say that my tolerance for the pre-bedtime shenanigans was significantly lower than usual. I think I got used to having more time to be in quiet (relatively), and so dealing with public transportation, work and then the kids was kind of over-stimulating or something.

And as for HIMYM, yes, that's it -- the creative referencing of stuff is always fun and I appreciate the folks that think of it and can work it into a new show in a relatively seamless way.

Oh. My. God. How fried is my brain? Dude, I was totally supposed to proof that and if I had, it would have read: the exhaustion is NOT completely overwhelming. Sheez.

So, was it okay overall?

I know that's what you meant. Mom brain will do that to you. It really was okay, but of course, I missed her. Tomorrow is day 2, so no avoiding it now. Work here I come.

I wish you belated luck - both of you.

Also, good luck with the internet deprivation because I am still feeling it after 5 months!

Thanks. Tuesday wasn't too bad, today was a bit weird though. I was apparently having a body rebellion and not producing/releasing any milk from my body. It was really strange. Hopefully, things will settle down some more.

As for the internet deprivation, it's not too bad yet, but having to filter what's safe for work again is a change that I'm sure you identify with.
