RE: Barney/Doogie. I don't watch the show enough but I love that little nod to the viewers. Stuff like that totally wins me over every time. :)

Ummm... what? I think your exhaustion might be pretty overwhelming there, but no need to wish it on the rest of us! But I will say that my tolerance for the pre-bedtime shenanigans was significantly lower than usual. I think I got used to having more time to be in quiet (relatively), and so dealing with public transportation, work and then the kids was kind of over-stimulating or something.
And as for HIMYM, yes, that's it -- the creative referencing of stuff is always fun and I appreciate the folks that think of it and can work it into a new show in a relatively seamless way.

As for the internet deprivation, it's not too bad yet, but having to filter what's safe for work again is a change that I'm sure you identify with.
