The day Jun finally says yes, Sho just can't get a grip on himself.
As Jun's car disappears round the corner, he keeps his position, standing on the border of the sidewalk, hand frozen in midair, right where he has been leaning against the car door a few seconds ago. There's a smile hanging from the corner of his mouth, and to anybody who doesn’t know what has just happened, he simply looks like an idiot in the middle of the street.
He was only joking this time. It’s not that he hasn't asked Jun out millions of times before this; in fact, he's been trying to spend more private time with him during the last year. But right now he hasn't really meant it, at least not as seriously as Jun has replied.
He’s said yes. Yes, let's go out, he’s said, and by the time he took to answer, by the way his voice still trembled a bit after he cleared his throat and by the brief moment his eyes have met with Sho’s, he hasn’t only accepted another invitation to go out for a casual lunch -he has accepted to be his boyfriend.
Sho’s legs shake as he goes up the stairs, two steps at a time; he would have jumped directly to his apartment if it wasn’t on a fourth floor. His heart is racing so fast he’s afraid his chest will explode, and when he reaches home he has to rest a bit against the door and remember how to breathe properly.
Oh God, he actually said yes.
The car scene replays a thousand times inside his head while he changes his clothes. He ends up wearing his pyjama t-shirt back to front, but he can't care less about it. He throws himself on his bed and hugs his pillow (Jun also has one of these), like a teenage girl, rolling to his sides and going all "Kuu!”
Yes, let’s go out. Shit, these words. They make his cheeks burn and his chest fill with anticipation. They are together, together, Jun and me. After all this time, he made it. Fuck. Fuck, he’s so happy he wants to run somewhere and scream or do a ridiculous dance or both things at the same time.
Seriously, calm down, he sighs, and when the words come again, you'll die.
It takes him nearly three hours to empty his mind, at least enough to get a little rest. After perfectly planning their first date and coming up with several ideas for the next ones (including Christmas and Valentine's), he falls asleep.
*
He wakes up an hour and a half before his alarm clock goes off, and he does it with a strong urge to touch and smell Jun's hair. He isn’t surprised to have dreamt about him -about them. They were having a walk, talking, laughing, holding hands, and although he doesn’t exactly have an image of it, kissing as well.
Thinking of this makes him all nervous and giggly again. He’s so anxious to make it real, being with Jun, sharing, loving. They have so many things to do, so much to start, to enjoy, to feel. Sho wants to see him already, to know if he has spent the night like this, dreaming awake and asleep, missing him, unable to stop.
I hate him, he lies to himself, and decides to go to work early.

The door to the green room is half open, which means there’s already somebody inside. It can be any of the other three, but still Sho isn’t able to hide a too obvious smirk as he walks in.
“Morning, lucky man,” Nino greets him, after checking the look on his friend's face from the corner of his eye. “Still in dreamland, huh?”
“Eh? What do you mean?” Sho asks, taking out a newspaper to hide behind.
“Your boyfriend hasn’t come yet,” Nino says, and Sho doesn’t need to peek over to see his grin.
He smiles awkwardly, reading the same headline for the fourth time already. Of course Nino would know -he could tell Sho liked Jun even before he realized it himself. Well, if Nino knows, Ohno will too as soon as he arrives, and perhaps Aiba will hear about it too.
The trio appears almost at the same time; Aiba and Ohno are chatting merrily, and Jun comes in silently after them. Nino winks at Sho before getting up to throw his arms around their leader, and tells him and Aiba to go get some coffee with him.
“Why? Let's do janken to decide who goes to the machine as usual," Aiba says, pulling out a chair.
“Just come,” Nino insists, grabbing him by the back of his jacket, and closes the door behind them, throwing a meaningful look at both Sho and Jun.
“So they all know,” Jun says, taking off his hat and running a hand through his hair.
Sho likes how Jun’s hair is longer lately, and how they style it for their shows. So refreshing, he finds himself wanting again to touch and smell it, and he tries to shake the thought by looking back at his paper.
“If they don't, they will when they come back," he answers, and when Jun frowns a bit he adds "I didn't say anything, though."
“Yeah. Nino."
Sho makes a questioning sound, even though he kind of guesses it, this guy.
“He told me."
“What? You knew?” Sho feels betrayed.
“He told me I like you," Jun says shyly, hiding back under his hat. "I already knew you liked me."
“I was THAT obvious?” Sho asks, very disappointed with himself.
“Remember those times when we had just debuted and I would follow you around and bugged you to no end when you wanted to study?”
Sho nods, you were adorable.
“Imagine that with a 29-year-old man asking you to go to places with him all the time."
“I’m sorry,” Sho lowers his head, pouting a little. “I didn’t know I was annoying you."
“You’re cute,” Jun whispers, looking away immediately as Sho lifts his head. “Anyway, I would have done something if you hadn’t.”
Sho smiles timidly and carefully folds his newspaper, pushing it aside. Slowly, he lets his eyes search for Jun’s across the table.
Damn, he’s so gorgeous I can’t, he studies his face, the curve of his nose, his lips. He stops there, oh no, now I want them so bad.
“Can I…?”
Jun leans forward and makes their lips meet.
“Don’t ask,” he speaks, inches apart from Sho’s face, and kisses him for the second time. “Do it.”
“Kiss you?” Sho asks, in a rather rhetorical way.
“Yes,” Jun responds with an open invitation.
Jun opens his mouth and Sho leans into the kiss. He’s so good, Sho closes his eyes, goes deeper, his tongue, it feels great.
“Touch you?”
“Yes.”
Sho brushes a lock of hair from Jun’s face and caresses his cheek lightly with the back of his hand. I can smell it from here, he takes a breath, his hair.
“And lots of things we will do later,” Jun dares to say, and it makes both giddy.
Sho sees the bags under his eyes and laughs.
“You stayed up, too?”
“I couldn’t stop thinking… about us,” Jun recognizes awkwardly.
About us, Sho repeats in his mind, and wonders why everything is suddenly so perfect, why things fit in so well. Images from his dream pop into his mind and he smiles, look, Jun is smiling as well, he's imagining too.
Supposing the other three are in the studio already, they take their stuff and leave. When Sho opens the door, he finds two paper cups on the floor. Their names are written on them with black marker, as well as a short message:
“You guys owe me dinner. And 150 yen for the coffee."
They exchange looks and snort. Nino has done nothing wrong after all, so they can only say yes.
