Granted, none of those times without powers had involved the potential danger of weird zombie rapist pirates attacking- but that was why Kal-El was currently training in front of the safe-house, trying to reach the peak of his human body. Trying to learn how to stop holding back. He hadn’t really been avoiding people… it had just been a natural thing to him. Once he realized he didn’t have his powers anymore he thought he had to find better ways to protect his friends- to protect everybody.
And if that involved training all over again, then so be it.]

[Dick is sitting nearby, watching the other train. He knew that even without powers, Clark at least knew how to get around still.] I brought you water. The weather here is pretty hot, so you don't want to get dehydrated. [A short pause before he speaks again.] What do you think is going to happen this week? [It's an honest question. Dick just wanted to hear his thoughts on it. Dick had his own guesses after all.]

In the week he'd been here, he'd been spending time figuring things out and getting a grip on this place. But now he at least had an idea of it, which meant it was time to get back to work. However before he was getting ready for his 3 mile run, he stopped and spotted the pair of heroes standing there. He recognized Dick from their talk earlier, and this was the first chance he was getting to look at Superman here.*
Hello... *he said to the pair, in his normal voice which was clearly more of a teenager's tone than the one Dick had heard before* I assume this is the workout group?

We'll be attacked again. [There isn't a trace of doubt on his voice.] At this point the question is 'when', and how to be prepared. But I think we can do it.
[He turned to look at the new-comer...] I suppose you could say that. Superman. [He said as a presentation, holding his hand out]

I know we will. There's too much time still. We're bound to get attacked again if the Consortium has anything to do with it. But I think if people are smart, we'll be fine. [Hopefully.]
I'm not working out. Just waiting.

*He glanced over to Dick and nodded in understanding* I know I got alot of catching up to do, so I figured I'd get in a 3 mile run and work on what little I was working on before I arrived. The more I improve, the better I can be when it's go time.
*He then realized something and looked noting the gold collar on Dick and Clark* Is mine gold too? I haven't had the need to check a mirror.

[The white hair part doesn't bother him, since Powergirl already commented on it. He reached for Dick's bottle and took a sip, not... really knowing what to tell him. Because he really thought so too, he was hoping people would be smart about it and they could outwit the Reavers.
But he still feels... really defenseless without his powers.]
I hope they will. We have some of the smartest people around, after all. And yes... we have all been gold-collared, as far as I've seen. I think that's the reason we do not have any kind of superhuman powers.

Yours is gold. Everyone here has or should have a gold collar. THe difference is that we aren't affected like Superman is. It's a bit of an advantage and a bit of a disadvantage.
The collars are usually in effect in the other facility, but they're usually deactivated upon arrival to these new areas.
