What happen when a thief seek revenge?

You'd think Kenzi would have learned her lesson the first time she'd encountered Izaya. The cuts he'd given her had healed but she hadn't forgotten how he'd cornered her like a frightened rabbit and insulted the one skill that had kept her alive all these years.

This time she'd be ready for him.

Kenzi had been watching and waiting for Izaya to leave his suite. She was prepared this time for sure, hiding a knife in her boot and carrying her trusty baseball bat with her. As soon as he left, she crept silently after the creeper.

She had her eye on that very pretty bag... and whatever might be inside of it. The plan was to follow him until the opportunity presented itself. Then... she'd strike.

It takes a creeper to creep on another, so to speak. Just that, unfortunately, Kenzi wasn't as proficient at it than she thought herself to be and Izaya had long realized he was followed but he pretended he wasn't just to see what she will do. He had no doubt she wanted revenge since she had explicitly stated so before, not that Izaya was worried. But it will be fun to see what she will attempt.

So he purposely turned into another hallway, and bingo~ an empty one. Come, show me what you are capable of, little thief.

Perfect. Kenzi was completely unaware that Izaya was onto her. All she knew was they were alone, this hallway was empty, and she was going to take that bag. Quietly, she crept closer. She controlled her breathing so she wasn't even making a sound... and then... she reached carefully up and under his coat for the strap of the bag, taking her knife out to cut it and slip it off.

A regular person would never have felt this happening. A guy off the street wouldn't have known what hit him! But Kenzi should have known that Izaya was no regular guy, nor was he an easy mark.

And should have back off when he told her he was sorry but apparently Kenzi wasn't very good in taking hints. So instead of her knife cutting off his bag, her hand was caught by him in a unnaturally strong grip. Izaya tilts his head to sneer at her, "Looking for something, Kenzi-chan?"

Without any warning, he lets go of her and put some healthy distant between them in the blink of an eye. "Why don't you go back to your room so that I don't have to clean my knife again?"
