Izaya was out roaming the facility when majority of the residence has either gone to bed or confined themselves to the comfort of their own room. It was his usual nightly check, making sure there was no structural change to the white walls that held them in. He knew the chance of anything drastically changed was low but he still checked. Just in case. Especially now that there was so many additional subjects being thrown in. He was surprised with the volume but perhaps Val and the interns were running out of time or were pressured for results? Either way, it was always better to be well informed after all.
