Last option, set on friday? I think he'll be fairly easy to pursuade in this state... darc_nidellia December 8 2010, 20:31:29 UTC
It would have been painfully obvious to anyone who set eyes on him that the half-breed was dangerously agitated; he was currently pacing back and forth across a clearing deep in the woods, muttering gruffly under his breath and glancing sharply over his shoulder every few moments. he had felt certain that they wouldn’t be able to bother him all the way out here, that once he was out of earshot of their infernal whispering he’d actually be able to think clearly and plan what he was going to do about it, but even now he couldn’t be sure that they weren’t still there, just out of sight, plotting against him.

They wanted him dead, all of them. He had heard it all quite clearly. Obviously he’d suspected it from the beginning, that none of them could abide having a filthy, useless half-breed in their midst, that they were all just pretending to tolerate him, but now he’d overtly heard them all talking about it, and it was clearly only a matter of time before they came for him. He had to think of something...there were too many of them for ( ... )

Sounds like a plan to me. strongestcoward December 8 2010, 21:00:16 UTC
Asura could feel Darc's madness as he moved through his wavelength, like ripples in water. It wasn't hard to find him-so he simply strode into the clearing, giving a friendly wave and casually calling out.

"Hey kid! What're you thinking about?"

Good times XD darc_nidellia December 8 2010, 21:07:29 UTC
Darc swiftly spun around as soon as he heard someone call out to him; he should have been able to sense them approaching, why the hell hadn’t he? It was obviously some kind of ploy....they were craftier that he thought, disrupting his highly developed senses so they could creep up on him and kill him without any difficulty. He hissed fiercely, lips pulling back from his teeth in an attempt to look vicious when he spotted Asura...obviously they would have sent this one to kill him, someone who he wouldn’t even stand a chance against...

‘Don’t give me that,’ he spat, hand edging towards the hilt of his sword even though he knew it was pointless, ‘I know they sent you here...but I’m not gonna let them do it...I won’t fucking let you kill me...’

"Ke-ke...Really now?" His scarves flexed, revealing his lips, smiling widely as he almost always did when dealing with Darc. He was a cute kid. "Do you think that there's anyone who ever lived who could tell me what to do?"

Asura opened his arms wide, gesturing to the wilderness in general, as if he conducting a silent and invisible orchestra. "Feh~ You think that I'd be a part of anything like that? And here I thought you knew me better than that."

Darc gave the other male a long, considering look, his eyes still narrowed dangerously in suspicion and his elongated canines still bared. They were all against him, weren’t they? All of them....plotting....they all wanted to destroy him. But then again...the creepy bandage guy did have a point. He didn’t seem like the type who would be drawn into someone else’s plot like that, given what he knew about him. His hand remained on the hilt of his sword, and he still appeared tense, eyes glazed over with the obvious signs of paranoia and encroaching madness, but he didn’t make any further move to attack. It would be pointless anyway, and maybe Asura was telling the truth.

‘...I suppose not...’ he responded tentatively, still watching the other carefully, attempting to discern any hint that he was lying.

"You suppose? Well, that's a start..." The Kishin extended one of his small scarves to wrap around a tree, tugging it to the ground with no effort, a subtle creaking and quiet crash accompanying it. All in order to give himself a seat, which he lounged on as if it was a couch.

"You should know by now that I'm an exceptional man. Whenever there are rules, I'm always the exception. Ke-ke." Asura's tone was quite jovial and friendly-as if he was a favourite uncle talking to his nephew. "People are out to kill, or maybe they aren't. There's the chance they are, and that's bad enough, right? You afraid, kid?"

Darc flinched just a little when Asura’s scarf shot out and encircled the tree, though he remained where he was, muscles still tensed and ready for flight - it was his best option when dealing with this guy, even if he knew he couldn’t outrun him - and he watched warily as Asura pulled the tree to the ground. Still...it served as clear reminder of just what the other was capable of...reinforcing the growing seed of doubt in his mind that Asura had been sent here to kill him. It did seem doubtful that someone like him could be manipulated by anyone.

He shifted edgily where he stood when the other brought up the matter of the plot against him; so he knew about it...he must have heard the whispering too. Well, why wouldn’t he? They were all being so blatantly obvious about it...not even trying to hide the fact that they were ll out to get him.

‘Obviously I’m not scared!’ he spat defensively in response to Asura’s question, though he hesitated for just a moment before continuing...there was no point in lying, really...not to him...and ( ... )

"I knew you would be." Asura's pose was nonchalant, one leg up on the fallen tree whilst the other hung off. One arm leant on the raised leg, causing him to half sit up whilst the rest of him lounged. "I know exactly what it feels like to have everyone against you, in the whole world. Feeh~"

Whistling his amused whistle, he looked away from Darc, at the sky. "But there's a few people around here who I know aren't. The people in my shadow."

Darc scowled a little and began to growl softly as Asura asserted that he had known he would be scared. Of course he would think that! They were all saying it about him...that he was weak, and pathetic. That he was too scared to face up to them, that he’d be easy to kill off. The man’s causal posture didn’t do anything to help this...he must have come here to laugh at him, he thought it was funny that they were out to destroy him, that had to be it...

However, moments later he found himself blinking as Asura suggested that there were some people out there who weren’t in on the plan, and the look that crossed his face was caught somewhere between scepticism and hopefulness. Even if there were just a few people left who hadn’t turned against him, it would make it just a little bit easier to bear...

‘There are?’ he questioned warily, hating the sound of hopefulness in his voice, but he was unable to prevent it from creeping in.

"Of course. I told you, didn't I? I'm exceptional." He chuckled again, a barraged of 'ke' following.

"And I'm gathering up other exceptional people. We're all on the same side in my shadow, Darc."

Despite the fact that the half-breed was still intensely wary of Asura - given the way the majority of their interactions had gone in the past, and the fact that he knew the man (or whatever the hell he was) could destroy him without even thinking about it - he couldn’t help but feel somewhat tempted by his words. He couldn’t stand up to all his enemies on his own after all, and they would surely kill him eventually if he didn’t have any allies. He hesitated a moment more, his lip still curled, but finally he dropped out of his defensive position and took a tense and tentative step in the other’s direction.

‘What do you mean, ‘in your shadow…? What would I have to do?’

"You're already half way there."
The scarf around his face unwrapped half way, a smile on his face.

"It's nothing too hard. You just have to accept your madness and walk with me. Everyone is after me too-so we'll all pitch inand protect ourselves."

‘…I’m not mad. Everyone else might be, but I’m not…’ the half-breed responded defensively, though he can’t help but be interested in the rest of what Asura has just told him. If everyone was out to get him, too, then maybe he knew how he was feeling…maybe he could be trusted. He knew Asura was capable of killing him in an instant, and yet he hadn’t done it. That must mean he wasn’t part of the plot against him, surely? ‘…but I guess I could walk with you, if they’re all after you. Otherwise they might get us both….there’s a lot of them…’

"Ke-ke, really now?" With a thought, Asura's madness wavenlength spread a little harder, pulling on Darc's perceptions.

"Don't you think being insane is the only choice when the world is against you? It frees your mind. You can think in ways people never expect. It makes you strong. And if you're going to survive, you'll need strength, right?"

Darc took a sharp intake of breath when he felt that pull on his perceptions, and he blinked a little, trying to work out just what was going on. He’d felt this before, hadn’t he? He not quite like this...but that feeling of losing his grip on something that he always felt when Asura was around was definitely there, now he thought about it.

He tilted his head to the side slightly, listening careful to what Asura was saying...and it did make a kind of sense, didn’t it? The words resonated with him, and reminded him of what the man had said to him on another occasion...if he just let go of reason, he’d be free to do whatever he wanted...

‘Yeah...I do need strength,’ he conceded with a nod, ‘and you’re saying if I just give in to this feeling, and agree with you that I’m insane, that I’ll get it?’

"That's right. There's nothing wrong with giving in to madness." His lower leg began to swing childishly, Asura giggling a little.

"Just join in with my shadow. You'll love it."
