Where: In an abandoned building on the edge of town.
Summary: Edward had snuck out of the penthouse despite orders from Germany to stay put. Finding Hinata became a new mission.
Rating: PG-13 for brief nudity.
Warnings: Clueless intervention and naive consoling.
Edward was still in a considerable amount of pain but hid it well as he traveled through the streets. He tried to contact Hinata a few times but couldn't seems to reach her. The beeping of his communicator offered a clue to her whereabouts when he watched the feed from her last battle.
He saw the demon take her to an unspecified location. He saw the layout of the building before the feed had cut off and he put the clues together from his own wanderings just where she would be. He closed in on her location and entered the building from below. The pain in his chest was still fresh and the pain in his left arm was enough to make most people not want to move though he still pressed on.
Something was wrong and he knew it. This new sensation was more of a drive to save a friend. He didn't want to risk losing her again to the doctors. He entered the top of the building and looked around. His eyes were accustomed to dank images and dilapidation. On a bed lay Hinata. Her clothes were torn and Edward made a quick entrance help his friend.
"Hinata?" His voice was calm yet concerned. He didn't pay any attention to her exposed body. He was more concerned to get her to safety. "Hinata? Please wake up." He tried to find a way to cover her up using his blades as fingers only to cut up the blanket that was available. He was as gentle as possible. It would have to do.
He turned his back to her and stood guard to keep anyone else out for the time being.
