Still. You guys were all really nice. I appreciate it. And I appreciate no one telling me the truth.

[But then she laughs a bit, shaking her head]

Oh god, you do? I'm sure I was a total handful last week.

Yeah--I think it was better that way--you got to have your fun and well--Bucky and Dick both had theirs. [He looks mildly annoyed before smiling.]

I have--a good handful of them, it's nice to have some decoration through. I really like the way you drew me, you have talent.

It was better. It was only a week so there was really no sense upsetting me, right? Besides, it was nice to think everything was okay for a week. And yeah, I remember them kidnapping me and taking me to their pillow fort.

That is sickeningly adorable. How did you even put with me?

[She calls, and just like that, there's a speedster in the room, peering over Kate's shoulder. He's idly gnawing on a food bar, looking for all intents and purposes, bored as hell.]

Yep. You were six. It was kind of adorable. But also weird.

[She looks over her shoulder at him, not even bothered by his sudden appearance]

Weird is right. Of all the things I thought this place would do to me, de-aging me to a kindergartner was not one of them. Oh, also [She reaches up to the head of the bed, pulling a purple rabbit plush out from under the blankets] A purple bunny? Really?

Hey, I was in Billy's body all week. Do you know how weird that was? I woke up with Teddy. He cuddles. [And the way he talks, this is the worst thing in the world.

But then he kind of looks a little sheepish at the purple bunny plushie.] ...You liked it at the time.

I don't know why you're complaining. Teddy gives sort of amazing hugs. I'm sort of surprised you didn't kill us all with Billy's powers though.

[She turns the seat around so she's facing him, stretching up to kiss his cheek] I still do. It's dorky but it's cute.

I would but this is kind of funny. You guys kidnapped a six year old. If you think I'm letting you off without teasing you a little, you're gonna be disappointed.

...It's weird though. I kind of dislike you less now.

You were cuter when you were six. Quieter, too. [Like he needs more teasing after everything he did last week.] I can't recall if the kidnapping was my idea or Dick's, it feels like it's been seventy years, but I want to go with Dick's.

And you were less of a grouch with no sense of humor when you were a kid. It'd be good if you could learn the difference between someone trying to be mean and someone just talking to you. [Insert eyeroll here]

I got turned into a girl. Really it was like a mix of old experiments last week.

You were a girl? That's not so bad. So they just repeated a bunch of old experiments on us? Huh. Guess they're starting to run out of things to do.

Nah, I'd been turned into one before so it wasn't so bad. Yep, that's what they did. I dunno if I'd say they ran out of things to do since they re-run old experiments all the time in between new ones.

Now I just wonder why they do that. But I wonder why they do a lot of things so, you know, I guess that's nothing new. At least everything's back to normal.
