The music was kind of nice, though, and after a quick look around to make sure nobody was watching (girl has to protect her reputation, after all) she wanders over, looking curious.]

No, no magical powers. Just good friends. Most of my friends have magical powers, though, and that helps keep me alive. Female admirers, well, those are just a wonderful bonus.

You're pretty good at that, then. Are you new? People were saying that some of the people "came back." My roommate is really confused because he doesn't remember it. I just know people were telling you that you'd come back, and I wanted to know if maybe they'd explained that to you...

[ His smile fades in favor for an expression that's a bit more serious. ]

People come and go here without any say to if they want to stay or leave. I...when I left, it wasn't for good, but some people leave for good and others come back without any memories of this place. There's a computer here named Val and a group of people called the Consortium and they do these things to break people down. That's why it's important to remember that no matter what, we'll make the best of what ever happens, for the sake of the people we love, whether they're here or not, or if they remember us at all.
